One day a poor fisherman and a highly intellectual professor travelled in a ship. The poor fisherman would listen speech to the professor. One day the professor asked him, “Do you know mathematics?” The fisherman said, “No sir! I don´t know the mathematics!”
“You are very stupid! If you don’t know mathematics then how can you add and subtract the sum in your business? You lost one third of your life.” The poor fisherman thought that the professor might be true and he returned to his cabin.
Then another day, he again met the professor. The professor asked him, “Do you know the geology?”
“What is that? I don’t know. My father was too poor to send me into school.”
He replied,” It is a science of earth. Now you lost a half of your life.”
“If a man like you says so then it might be true!”
Then another day the professor asked the poor fisherman,” Do you know
meteorology?”
“No sir! I don’t know.” said the fisherman.
The professor yelled out, ” You are very stupid than I thought.”
“What is that sir? I earn my profit killing fishes and selling them into the market. I don’t know anything.”
“What kind of stupid you are! You earn your profit by sailing on this ocean and tell me that you don’t know anything. Meteorology is a science of ocean. You lost three fourth of your life. ”
The poor fisherman returned to his cabin regretting on his ignorance. He cursed his fate. Suddenly the ship hit on the iceberg. The poor fisherman ran hurriedly into the professor cabin. “Do you know swimology, professor?” The professor said,” No, I don’t know. Why are you asking me?” The poor fisherman said,” The ship hit on the iceberg. Now it is going to drown in a few hours. There you see the bank of the ocean. If you know how to swim then jump down on the ocean. I am going to jump down into the ocean.
The professor said,” I don’t know how to swim.”
The poor fisherman said, “You lost your whole life, poor professor! I cannot help you.” He jumped down into the ocean.
In present situation, the so called professor, academician and critique resemble to the professor in the mentioned story.
